On Monday 22nd August 2011, a fire took place on Necker Island tragically destroying the Great House and its eight rooms and suites. As plans to rebuild the Great House begin to take shape, restoring it back to its former glory with some new and innovative touches, we are pleased to announce that it is 'business as usual' with options to cater for smaller groups to stay on island with the newly refurbished Bali Houses, as well as Sir Richard Branson's private home, Temple House and his 32 metre luxury catamaran Necker Belle, substituting for the bedrooms that were lost in the Great House.
